Programmes & Activities
Five interconnected pillars — grounded in evidence, driven by community, and built to advance women's empowerment, climate resilience and energy justice across the UK.
From Listening to Transformation
Every programme we run begins with listening. We do not arrive with solutions — we arrive with questions. What do women in this community need? What barriers do they face? What would a fair energy transition look like for them? The answers shape everything we do.
"Every transformation begins with a conversation."
We begin by listening to women's lived experiences, priorities and aspirations. Through household surveys, community consultations, focus groups, listening sessions and participatory research, we gather evidence on the challenges women face related to energy costs, fuel poverty, housing quality, employment, enterprise, climate risk and access to support.

Community Action Hubs
Where listening becomes action
Our Community Action Hubs are local spaces where women come together to share experiences, access support, build skills and organise for change. Each Hub is shaped by the women it serves — grounded in local need and connected to wider networks.
Energy Advice & Support
Guidance on fuel poverty, energy efficiency, retrofit schemes and clean energy access.
Enterprise & Skills Workshop
Self-employment training, financial literacy and green skills development.
Community Research Space
Participatory research, listening sessions and evidence gathering with local women.
Policy & Advocacy Hub
Community scorecards, policy recommendations and connections to decision-makers.
Network & Partnership Space
Cross-sector connections linking women to local authorities, housing providers and energy organisations.
Peer Support & Wellbeing
Safe, welcoming spaces for women to connect, share and support one another.
Women's Energy Justice Index
The Women's Energy Justice Index is our flagship measurement tool — tracking women's experiences of energy affordability, housing quality, climate resilience and economic security across UK communities. It provides the evidence base for our advocacy, programme design and policy recommendations.
Gender-Responsive Energy Transition
The UK's journey to net zero must be fair. Women — particularly those in fuel poverty, older women, carers, single mothers and disabled women — face the greatest barriers to accessing retrofit, clean energy and green employment. We work to ensure the energy transition works for every woman.

Support Our Programmes
Every programme needs people — volunteers, researchers, partners and advocates. Find out how you can contribute to women's energy justice.
